The NAAC (North American Actuarial Council – US/Canada/Mexico leadership) is sponsoring a study of the supply of and demand for actuaries and “para-actuaries” such as data scientists and predictive modelers. The CAS should be represented on the project oversight group. Might any of you, or one of your committee members, be interested in participating? This should not be a massive time investment as it is a “steering committee” role.

I just received this message from Rasa McKean:
On behalf of the Kickstarter Task Force, please encourage the the Open-Source Software Committee members to share their ideas and/or requests for research on our new Idea Share website.
Now is a great time to share research ideas, before the Centennial.
